How often does our company come out?
Most customers prefer service once a week, but other schedules can be arranged. If you would like to know more about the availability of our service more or less often than once a week, please contact us.
Do we work through the winter?
Yes, we work through most weather all year. Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and our company continues to clean up and remove dog waste through winter. Some customers prefer to put service on hold for the cold months, although there may be an extra service charge for the first cleanup the following spring because of all the accumulated mess.
What happens when it snows or rains?
We’ll work in most weather, but there may be days when heavy rain, snow, or very cold weather can stop us. If there is more than about half an inch of snow, we will postpone that day’s service until the next day or two, when the snow melts away. If there is so much snow that we are prevented from doing that week’s work, you will still be charged. If snow stays on the ground for more than a week, but there is no new snow to cover it, we will do regular cleanups to prevent excessive buildup of dog poop in your yard. If there is poop frozen to the ground we will remove it once it thaws. We will usually work in the rain, too, although a very heavy rainfall may postpone our service. We will also delay services if there is lightning. In either of these cases, we will most often be able to make up the work later the same week. We will also give you a memo if there are changes to the regular schedule or call or text to let you know.
What about holidays?
We will give our workers the following days off to spend with their families, so we won’t be out on these days: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If a holiday falls on a regular service day, we will revise the schedule to ensure we still get your yard serviced. If you have questions on how the schedule is adjusted please call us and we can let you know when to expect us. We also will send out a memo letting you know of schedule updates.
Should you unlock your gate?
Yes, please. Employees are not allowed to climb or jump over fences for safety reasons. So, please have your gate unlocked on your service day. We can note your combo or if you would like to provide us with a key to make it easier for you. Please call us if we need to discuss other options. If the gate isn’t left unlocked for us we will leave a note on your door letting you know what happened. You will still be responsible for this missed service fee.
Can we work with your dog in the yard?
In most cases, YES. However, we don’t want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our workers. Sometimes a dog will simply not allow us into the yard, making it unsafe for us. If your dog is aggressive with strangers, or if it becomes apparent to us that your dog will not let us in, then we will ask you to keep the dog inside or otherwise confine it on the day that we come to scoop. If your dog won’t let us in, we will leave a note on your door letting you know we were there and why couldn’t service that day. You will still be responsible for this service fee.
What if you want to skip a day?
We ask for a week’s notice if you want to skip a day, if possible. You will still be responsible for that week’s service fee. If the dog will be gone from the yard for a week and you let us know then you won’t be responsible for those fees. HOWEVER, if your gate is locked, or the dog will not allow us to clean the yard when we come to do the work, you will be charged for that day’s service as well as a note left for you stating why work wasn’t completed.
How do you prefer to pay us? We will send out an invoice at the beginning of the month. We can send them via USPS or email, your preference. Payment is due by the 30th. At the end of each month we will send out a statement for any open charges. We accept checks, cash, or credit/debit cards. If you would like, we can provide you with a pre authorization form and keep your card information on file. We would charge your card as indicated on the form for that month’s invoice and email you a receipt. If you do mail in payment, please make checks payable to P and B LLC and mail to PO Box 232, Clifton, CO 81520. There is a $25.00 late fee for accounts not paid by the 15th of the month following the service.
Are there any contracts you have to sign?
No. We can start and stop your service over the phone. We do not require contracts, there is no minimum service period, and there is no advance notice required to cancel service. Is there an extra charge for the first time? We clean your yard so that it is free of dog poop, pricing will be based on the time it takes. There will be a minimum fee of $37.50 which includes the first 30 minutes of cleaning. Each additional 15 minute block will be $18.75.
Is it possible to get a one-time-only service?
Sure! One-time-only, or short-term service may be easily arranged. Give us a call or send us an email.
How about special occasion service?
If you need special service for a backyard party or similar occasion, we can arrange an extra cleanup at a particular time and day for an extra charge. Give us a call or drop us an email to make arrangements.
